Everything is connected. Some of it is even connected to evidence.
Every case on one wall. The red string shows where stories feed each other. The badge on each card shows how much of it holds up.

Anatomy of a Martyr Myth
How to read a file
Every claim gets a focus rating. Not a vibe. A rating.
The receipts sit one tap away. If the evidence moves, the rating moves with it. Nobody here is too proud to update.
-
In Focus
Documented
Primary records, official documents, or several independent confirmations.
-
Soft Focus
Contested
Real evidence exists. The fight is over what it means.
-
Blurred
Speculative
Plausible-sounding, thinly supported, mostly circumstantial.
-
No Signal
Unsupported
No credible evidence yet. Sometimes evidence against.
Nothing reaches you raw
It isn’t your personality. It’s an aperture.
“And apertures can be adjusted.”
Everything you see — every headline, every claim, every memory, every gut feeling — passes through an opening before it becomes your experience. How wide that opening sits, what it lets in, what it cuts off at the edges: none of it is random. It was set early, by what you were taught to trust and what taught you not to.
Most of us never learn to read that setting. We mistake it for personality, or politics, or just the way we are.
It isn't. It's an aperture. And apertures can be adjusted.
I study the opening between the world and the mind — how trust calibrates it, how betrayal jams it, how attention focuses through it, and why the same person can be brilliantly skeptical in one direction and wide open in another. I call this Aperture Theory, and it shapes everything I write and teach.
My work moves across three registers: critical, contemplative, and practical. Not as separate disciplines — as different focal lengths on the same question: what is actually filtering what I see, and how do I take the controls back?
If you're here because something feels off — the gurus sound hollow, the institutions sound rehearsed, and your own certainty has started to make you nervous — you're in the right place.
They Were Right
Before anyone calls you paranoid: here’s the paperwork.
These were real conspiracies, proven by the records of the people who ran them. Suspicion has a track record. So does evidence. This is where they meet.
1953–1973
MKUltra
DocumentedIn FocusThe CIA ran mind-control experiments, including dosing unwitting Americans with LSD. Most records were destroyed in 1973.
How we know: About 20,000 surviving documents surfaced, leading to a 1977 joint Senate hearing.

The Tuskegee Study
DocumentedIn FocusThe U.S. Public Health Service tracked hundreds of Black men with syphilis and withheld treatment, even after penicillin became the standard cure.
How we know: A whistleblower went to the press in 1972, and the study was shut down that year.
CDC timeline ↗1956–1971
COINTELPRO
DocumentedIn FocusThe FBI surveilled, infiltrated, and tried to discredit civil rights leaders, antiwar groups, and political organizations.
How we know: Activists broke into an FBI field office in Media, Pennsylvania in 1971 and mailed the files to newspapers.
FBI Vault ↗1964
The Gulf of Tonkin
DocumentedIn FocusThe second North Vietnamese attack used to win congressional approval for the Vietnam War never happened.
How we know: In December 2005 the NSA declassified more than 140 documents. Its own historian found the intelligence had been skewed.
National Security Archive ↗Myth Mirror
Old story. New costume.
People keep telling the same few stories. The Myth Mirror shows you the original before you buy the remake.
-
The UFO Files
Ezekiel’s Wheel
Wheels within wheels, full of eyes, descending in fire. The original close encounter came with a prophecy attached.
-
The Epstein Files
Saturn Devouring His Children
The old god who ate his young to keep his throne. Power feeding on the vulnerable is the oldest story we have.
-
Sky Wars
Baal, the Storm God
Whoever controls the rain controls the harvest. Every age fights over who owns the sky.
-
Helene
The Great Flood
Noah, Utnapishtim, Deucalion: the flood is never just water. It is a verdict on how people treated each other.
-
The Cruise Ship Virus
Apollo’s Plague Arrows
In the Iliad, plague arrives as punishment from on high. We still look for someone who aimed it.
-
The Interstellar Visitor
Comets as Omens
Halley’s Comet hung over England months before 1066. A light in the sky always gets a story.
-
The Seeing Stone
The All-Seeing Eye
The Eye of Horus watched over the king. Now the eye is a database, and it watches you.
-
Anatomy of a Martyr Myth
The Ides of March
Caesar’s murder made him a god. A public killing becomes a story people fight over for centuries.
You know that low hum?
That’s the static. It isn’t paranoia.
“The static is a signal that something is wrong. It is not a map of what is wrong.”
I call that the static.
It's one of the most reasonable human experiences. The static isn't paranoia. It's pattern recognition. A nervous system that has been lied to before, doing its job.
Here's what nobody tells you: the static is almost always pointing at something real. The institution really did spin. The expert really did hedge. The person really did have an angle. Your detector works.
The problem is what we do next. Static is a signal that something is wrong, it is not a map of what is wrong. And an entire economy now exists to sell you maps: gurus, grifters, algorithms, and movements that take your accurate distrust and attach it to inaccurate explanations.
My work traces how that happens, how honest suspicion gets harvested, how the aperture gets jammed open or welded shut, and how a person learns to keep the static and the standards. To stay suspicious without becoming someone else's believer.
The pull to question is not a problem to eliminate. It is how a mind that has been burned learns to see in the dark.
The Aperture Check
How wide is your opening, really?
Eight questions. No email required to see your result. It roasts the gullible and the smug equally, which is called fairness.
The Static Report
One email a week. What’s buzzing, and how much of it holds up.
Every Static Report rates the week’s biggest claims, links the receipts, and finds the ancient story hiding underneath. It’s like a conspiracy newsletter, except it shows its work.
The newsletter is warming up. Until then, the signal goes out on YouTube.

Sharper discernment, minus the cynicism tax.
I work with adults who want sharper discernment without the cynicism tax: one-on-one, in workshops, and through writing built to be argued with.

Who’s behind the files
Jonathan Wright. Asheville, North Carolina.
I'm Jonathan Wright, and I've been asking uncomfortable questions since I could talk. Growing up Southern Baptist in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, I was handed a neat package of beliefs. But something inside me kept whispering: "There's more to this story."
That whisper led me down rabbit holes most people avoid. From earning my IT degree to spending over 13 years as an entrepreneur, I've always been drawn to understanding systems – how they work, why they exist, and who benefits from keeping us asleep.
If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.
